Heavenly Father or Santa Claus?

Isaac has been praying for quite some time now and lately he has been treating

Heavenly Father as Santa Claus.

It is funny and cute to see him praying but I have to be better on teaching him the right way to pray.

His prayer goes something like this:

Heavenly Father, thanks for this day, thanks for mommy

daddy, Belle, Hannah, Isaac and Sam.

I want to see the castle (talking about the Sleeping Beauty's castle from Disneyland)

say hi to Mickey, watch transformers, wear my Halloween costume

go to the park , in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I made this "pumpkin Toffee cheesecake" for our book club today and it was YUMMY!!

Isaac's first day of elementary school!

Isaac started on the new school today.

He was happy to wear an uniform and go to the girls school.

I try to have fun with the kids for dinner tonight and we made "rats" with a Brazilian meatball recipe and spiders cupcakes. My kids love this things :)

Someone was sccccared!!

My Isaac is in school...

Isaac started school on September 1st.

Dr. M. asked me to take him to be tested by DOE because of his speech.

Dr M is very worried with Isaac all the time, since the tumor he has been worried about this or that

and sometimes I love it because he is getting the VIP treatment but another times I just don't agree.

Who cares he does not have the number of words a 3 year old child is supposed to have at this age?

(with me he talks so much that I sometimes have to tell him to be quiet, I always understand him and 

we speak a second language at our home)

I took Ike to be tested and enrolled him in a part time pre school.

He had tons of fun and I enjoyed having the mornings only with Sam at home

until DOE called and told me Isaac needs to be in school the whole day (7:30 am to 2pm)

Isaac's Birthday Party!!

Today we invited some of Isaac's friends

to celebrate his birthday on the park.

Isaac had a great time

and we are thankful for all of you that came!!!!

Happy Birthday Isaac!!!!

Isaac is THREE years old today!!!

I am so thankful that Isaac is my son...

and that he is a very active, healthy and a great little boy!

Isaac's top three are:

1-Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

2- His sisters

3- Play outdoors.

Three out of FOUR

Three out of my FOUR kids had fever this morning.

Hannah stayed home from school and both the boys were
just burning up when they woke up.

I took all of the Motrin and Tylenol out and administered
just as I did when I was a nurse,

meaning: making the math and preparing different doses.

I had them in different rooms and they were all complaining of some kind of pain 

at the same time... very familiar huh?

I almost got my scrubs out of the attic :)

By 10 am they were all feeling better and I realized that Hannah didn't need 

to miss school because she was just playing or fighting with Isaac about

who would hold the TV remote or what show to watch.

My boy is turning 3 in a week, I know I am supposed to teach him to use the bathroom

so here it is a proof that he is ready but I am not!

He has been asking to go "xixi" (Portuguese) in the potty.

So I got him some new underwear

(he begged me to take a picture of Buzz :)

and a jar with some M&M's for each time he goes...

Do they look "sick" enough for you?

They were having a fever but they were also having a party!!

My Belle comes home from school and while I am cooking in the kitchen

She brings Sam downstairs all bathed and smelling good...

off course I freaked out and told her that she was not allowed

to put her brother inside the tub without telling me, it was a huge NO NO

and it was dangerous,bla,bla,bla

but to tell you the true, I was very thankful for her help.

PS: the crying happens every time Belle puts him down and goes outside without him.

PS: Belle, almost had more water on her clothes than in the tub! :)

Wednesday New Recipe!

Have you ever heard of a "garbage can"?

or about asking your mom for help?

If you did please tell my Isaac about it because it was very clear this morning that he needs help with that...

I can't tell him because I am very busy telling Sam for the 1.000th time

to do not play with the DVDs.

Hannah came home very happy because she swapped old books at school.

I love how they come bursting into the door yelling "moooooom",

because I am glad that I can always answer: I am heeeeeere...

Today is Wednesday and that means that I get to try a new recipe!

The recipe was my friend Leiliane's (from Bahia) Brazilian Chicken Pie.

It was yummy! 

Happy: I made another dinner tonight for my friend Foeata and her family, Foe had her cute new baby boy after having three girls. He is a cutie. I prepared a Taco bar with hamburger taco meat, pork Barbacoa, Mexican rice, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, taco salsa, tortillas, hard taco shells and cheese. Drinks and triple chocolate cake for dessert. After making all of that I remembered that she is half Tongan AND half Mexican!! I am pretty sure it was a big mistake that I have chosen to make Mexican food for someone that knows a lot more about it than I do! :) hahahahaha

It was passed NINE am!!

It did happened!

I woke up at "9:10" this morning with a phone call from the girls piano teacher asking why

the girls were not there since we changed their lessons time because

of the Spring Break.

Off course Sam was crying really hard and Isaac yelling:

Mom, I want to get out!

I did feel guilty for a little bit but after making Sam a bottle

feeding "Captain Crunch" cereal to Isaac and the girls

it did feel really good.

I had a great night of sleep!

The kids played in the park the whole day.

This is what happens when Isaac is left alone for a minute...

I think the microwave "steam able" veggies are the best invention

for a long time.

Really Happy: My friend is at HOME with her little boy, he was discharged today...can you believe how Heavenly Father is so good to us? I sure do.

Bad Storm

We had a little bad storm today

and we were out of power for 24 hours.

The boys were bored so they did what they do best:

a lot of mess around the house...

Isaac had fun not having power!
