Less is More!?

We were always wondering what to do with Sam's hair...

His hair grows super fast and it is all over the place.

David had the idea to cut it very short and I think I like it better.

The smile doesn't mean that he liked it...he is always happy anyway.

Happenings:

1) Mr Mike (Isaac's teacher) asked me to come in to school for a meeting today and he gave me the good news that Ike is being discharged of the "Special needs" program. He exceeded his goals and is ready for Kindergarden. He is not going back to full time school next year. I just hope I can survive with two BOYS at home together all day again...We were invited for Isaac's GRADUATION" next Tuesday :)

2) Hannah is already packing to Brazil. First thing she put inside her suitcase was a pair of dusty boots. She told me about how excited she is to be able to wear her boots again. I know another girl that it is feeling the same :)

3) David is loving his new app that speaks Portuguese. After telling him that he speaks Portuguese well enough, he tells me that he wants to get better. PS: It made my day.

4) Belle made me feel like a good mom today, I listened to her playing "LDS hymns" on the piano while relaxing with the boys and it was nice to know that all of the times I had to "make" her practice, take her to lessons, recitals, etc is paying off. And made me very happy.

Happy Birthday Samuel

My baby Sam turned two years old yesterday.

Sam is my crazy baby. He is always making sure I listen to him,

where, when and how he wants to.

I always know where, how and what he is doing.

The dude is loud and I L.O.V.E. him.

I know you may think that every boy is the same but I never

met a boy that loves cars and balls SO MUCH...

I feel horrible about Sam's cake. Have you ever forgotten to pick it up your son's birthday cake?

            I know, I know...this things always happen just with me...

I ordered a beautiful "Cars" cake in your local groceries store

and forgot to pick it up on Saturday,

since we do not go to the store on Sundays, I had to buy this cake today so

we could celebrate his birthday.

I really hope you will forgive me Sam...

He didn't want to be the center of the attention

Visiting the Cheshires!

Tonight we went to David's older sister Casey.

It was my nephew Kaden's birthday and we found out that Sam is just running now!!

He is walking EVERYWHERE!!

She will want to wear my heels...

I took Belle to buy some new shoes on Saturday

(because her shoes are to small again-same old story)

and we found out that her shoe size is 6.5!!

I could not believe it since my size is 7.5 or sometimes 8

but Belle is only 9 years old and I...well forget it! :)

Pretty soon she will want to wear my shoes and my high heels shoes

and I was thinking today...

what am I going to do????

After shoe shopping, Belle and I had lunch at "Jolibee's" the 

famous Filipino fast food place that all of my friends were telling me to try.

We had fried chicken and it was really yummy indeed.

PS: I know I was supposed to try something from your country but let's go slow ok?

I forgot to tell you that we have one of my favorites Mainland stores here at Ala Moana that opened earlier this month!!

I am so glad that I won't have to pay shipping to get my faves from the

Bath & Body Works store.

I like the beach here but this is also a nice view...

Belle wasn't sounding very nice while practicing her piano and when I checked her out

I found Sam trying to play a duet.

Once a upon at time...

there was a really cute boy who turned

ONE year old today called Samuel!

He LOVES his mommy and her hip

because it is the best place in the earth for him,

loves his daddy and siblings because they play together all the time,

really enjoys his baths and rice cakes and

he has ALWAYS the cutest smile on his face.

PS: Well, the last one is for who he knows anyway...

 Told in his own words...or maybe mom's.

I love Samuel so much, David wrote something very beautiful on my Facebook page today and I totally agree: Sam you came to give us the best year of our lives and now with YOU, our family is complete! Love you chuchu :)

Three out of FOUR

Three out of my FOUR kids had fever this morning.

Hannah stayed home from school and both the boys were
just burning up when they woke up.

I took all of the Motrin and Tylenol out and administered
just as I did when I was a nurse,

meaning: making the math and preparing different doses.

I had them in different rooms and they were all complaining of some kind of pain 

at the same time... very familiar huh?

I almost got my scrubs out of the attic :)

By 10 am they were all feeling better and I realized that Hannah didn't need 

to miss school because she was just playing or fighting with Isaac about

who would hold the TV remote or what show to watch.

My boy is turning 3 in a week, I know I am supposed to teach him to use the bathroom

so here it is a proof that he is ready but I am not!

He has been asking to go "xixi" (Portuguese) in the potty.

So I got him some new underwear

(he begged me to take a picture of Buzz :)

and a jar with some M&M's for each time he goes...

Do they look "sick" enough for you?

They were having a fever but they were also having a party!!

My Belle comes home from school and while I am cooking in the kitchen

She brings Sam downstairs all bathed and smelling good...

off course I freaked out and told her that she was not allowed

to put her brother inside the tub without telling me, it was a huge NO NO

and it was dangerous,bla,bla,bla

but to tell you the true, I was very thankful for her help.

PS: the crying happens every time Belle puts him down and goes outside without him.

PS: Belle, almost had more water on her clothes than in the tub! :)

I made my "chocolate pizza" today because my friend Aline from Brazil is visiting us

from Boston. (Recipe here)

Bad Storm

We had a little bad storm today

and we were out of power for 24 hours.

The boys were bored so they did what they do best:

a lot of mess around the house...

Isaac had fun not having power!

Remember Milena: It was pretty hard to clean a white kitchen especially with the

"little hand prints" lol

I clean these little "marks" everyday...

Sam is sad today

I took the boys to Doctor M. today,

I am so glad we have him in our life.

Dr. M. is awesome but Sam was not happy with him.

He had four shots and some blood drawn.

Poor guy was very upset but nothing like a slice of Costco pizza

to help him to feel better!?

Happy: Sam is 21 pounds and he will be taller than 6ft. At least it is what Dr. M. thinks :)
Sad: I still can't watch my kids get shots...and I used to give shots all the time for other people's kids!?

Sam is 9 months old

My Sam is growing really fast.

He started crawling and clapping his hands yesterday.

It will be so sad when I do not have babies at home anymore.

Visiting "Sanka" aka "Santa Claus"

Today we went to "Ala Moana" in Honolulu to see "Sanka" as Isaac calls him.
We spent the whole day and night there,
we went to our favorite stores (Disney Store is a must), ate at Hibachi, had ice cream and
watched the Christmas program they
have around the clock at this time of the year.
We got home at 10pm
and I loved it!
