A dream come true: "Jerusalem"

I wanted to go to Jerusalem since I was a little kid and watched a really old Church movie called "Por onde Jesus Andou" or "The places where Jesus walked"? I do not know the name in English but this movie showed all the places where Jesus walked and everything that happened on those places. I remember I was so fascinated and promised to myself that I would walk on those places. When I arrived in Jerusalem I had a knot in my throat. I felt something special, not because I had a big spiritual experience but I think it was the feeling of one of my biggest dreams coming true. I paid attention on the smells, places, people, traditions, etc...I thought about Jesus as a man, someone that really walked and lived on that place. I imagined him there, smelling the yucky smell of the camels, the dry streets and the very cold weather
, etc... Jerusalem was special, I loved it and hopefully I will be able to go back someday and spend a lot of more time there. We had a tour with Bruce Porter and I loved the private tours we had with him.

One of the corners of the "Old City" where Jesus was tempted...

1- The public "Gethsemane" gate   2- Private "Gethsemane Garden" area.  3- Pretty cool road name huh?

1- Touching a "witness tree", a olive tree from the time of Jesus.

1- The "Old City" walls.                               2- The famous "Wailing Wall"

The upper room, where Jesus had his last supper.

1- Damascus gate                                  2- The "Skull Hill", can you see it?

1- A street inside of the "Old City"     2- Inside of Jesus Tomb!!

My favorite place in Jerusalem: the "Garden Tomb"

Watching David on the "man side" :)

Loved:
1- the Garden Tomb, knowing that Jesus was right there for sure was awesome!
2- the feelings I had during a "Bruce Porter" devotional we had on the Gethsemane Garden looking at the "Golden Gate and the Temple". I cried. a lot.
3- watching the people on the streets. Can you imagine living in a place like Jerusalem??

Didn't love:
1- the smell of the camels.
2- not being able to speak Arabic.
