My top three talks from General Conference!

Last weekend we had another great General Conference, I love this time of the year and I wait anxiously to listen to the Prophet and other general authorities. I loved all the talks, they make me hopeful and help my testimony to grow. It is nice to hear all the talks and see what we need to hear at that time of the year. I picked three of my favorite talks and will share a little with you.

Pres. Thomas S. Monson

-May we be good citizens and neighbors.
-May we be mindful of the needs of those around us and be ready to extend a helping hand and a loving heart.
-May we strive each day to follow the Savior's example.
-May we be living so he can knock at our door and let us open the door and welcome him into our house and into our hearts.

Elaine Dalton (YW General Pres.)

-In the strength of the Lord, I can do all things.
-The Temple is the reason for everything we do in the church.
-Virtue is a pattern of thought and behavior based on high moral standards.
-Virtue begins in the heart and in the mind, but it's nurtured in the HOME
-The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare!

Elder Jeffrey Holland

-God never leaves us alone, never leaves us unaided in the challenges that we face.
-From the beginning down through the dispensations, God has used angels as His emissaries in conveying love and concern for His children
-Usually such beings are not seen. Sometimes they are. But seen or unseen they are always near. Sometimes their assignments are very grand and have significance for the whole world. Sometimes the messages are more private. Occasionally the angelic purpose is to warn. But most often it is to comfort, to provide some form of merciful attention, guidance in difficult times
-When we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day. Some of them reside in our own neighborhoods. Some of them gave birth to us...
-May we all believe more readily in, and have more gratitude for, the Lord’s promise as contained in one of President Monson’s favorite scriptures: “I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, . . . my Spirit shall be in your [heart], and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.
-In the process of praying for those angels to attend us, may we all try to be a little more angelic ourselves...

PS:I am sure very thankful for all of you angels in my life, you really have been on my sides and have helped me in all things!

That's so cool that two of your favorite talks match my faves as well.
I don't mind sharing my notes, because that's one of the reasons why I put them on my blog. I'm glad you were able to use them.
PS-I love your blog too!
