When I saw the parachute open, I was very glad :)
I always wanted to skydive but since having kids I had the idea on the back burner. I had a great opportunity to jump today and I took it!!
I was very scared but David, my friend Bruna and "Robby" (my instructor) were great and made me feel like I could it. Robby was talking to me the whole time, when we got in a very little airplane he started to ask me about my family and when I realized they were already opening the door and people started jumping.
The wind is very strong when they open the door, I was glad that I didn't have time to think about it, I just heard a guy saying go, go go and there I was hanging on the door waiting for my turn. Robby gave me the sign and I jumped! Just before the jump he told me that: if anything wrong happens "skydiving wasn't for you" , can you believe it? lol
I was thinking that the free fall was going to be the hardest part but it wasn't. I felt great but when he pulled the parachute was scary and you are pushed around until the instructor takes charge of it. My landing was perfect, which means I landed with my feet and just walked with no problems when I touched the ground. I still can't belive that I actually did, I see the pictures and it is hard to think its me. I am glad I did, I would jump again if I have another chance but I do not HAVE to keep jumping like some of my friends that said I would get addicted to it. Sorry but I didn't. I feel better being on the ground :)
Another thing I checked off of my bucket list.
