Mom Barlow's Lasagna:
1 lbs of hamburger meat
8 oz of lasagna noddles (cooked and soft, add a pinch of salt)
1/2 lb of cottage cheese
26 oz of Spaguetti sauce (Hunt's traditional)
1 cup of mozarella cheese ( I put more than a cup :)
Cook the hamburger meat and drain it. Put the meat back to the pan and add the cottage cheese and the sauce.
Make the layers: meat, noddles, meat, noddles, etc...when you are done making the layers add the Mozarella cheese on the top and cook for 30 to 40 minutes on 350* taking the aluminiun foil the last 5 minutes to have a pretty lasagna and golden melted cheese. Enjoy it :)
PS: What I love is that you can make this recipe a day before so it is perfect for Sundays after Church. You just get home and eat 40 minutes later! LOL
Mom Barlow's Chicken Roll Ups:
2 or 3 small chicken breasts (skinless and boneless)
2 cans of croissant
4 oz of cream cheese
Seasoning-salt, garlic, onions, etc...
Bread crumbs original
1 or 2 eggs
Gravy:
1 big can of Cream of Chicken
Some 2% milk
Cook the chicken and drain it. Add the seasoning and the cream cheese. Make sure that the mix is creamy or add more cream cheese if necessary.
Open the croissant can and use a roll to make the dough thinner, add the chicken mix on the longer part and roll up as if you were making regular croissants. When the roll ups are closed and tight, pass through the eggs and trough the bread crumbs. Cook it following the can instructions and serve with gravy. To make the gravy just add the cream of Chicken can in a pan and slowly add the milk for your desired gravy thickness. Let it boil and put on top of the roll up after you are done cooking it! It is yummy!!!!!
You can also make this a day before and cook after Church, it is super fast! :)
The roll up looks like this, off course this one is cut because I was serving to the kids but I added this pic so you can see how it looks like with the crumbs and the gravy :)
