My Memorial Weekend started with a class to learn how to make "leis". Our ward makes them for the Memorial Day when the scouts put them on the graves of the War Veterans from here. I really loved being with the Hawaiian ladies and learning how to make these beautiful leis! We made tons of the fresh flower ones and learned some other kinds too!

Lilikoi Flower Lei, my favorite!

It is coming along...

...and here it is all done!

You use these really huge needles that goes right into your fingers if you are not careful like me! LOL

One of my real flowers one, a little short because it was for the graves...

Wearing the twist kind (super easy to make) and trying to make the mini carnation lei...

It is a really cute one!

I got home and had a surprise from my mom, I fell in love with her packages on my mission and I still LOVE them! :0)

Memorial Day at the Waianae Coast!

A little dangerous, don't try that at home! LOL

We stopped several times while driving the coast, it was so beautiful! It is amazing that we live here for three years and have not been there before...

Belle really loves the ocean, I believe she will be one of those young women that will go surfing every day at 5am before school! :0)

The gorgeous Maipalaoa Beach with my kids!

Cute kids!

I just love how blue and clean the water is!

He is a good daddy huh?

We have to teach him while he is young huh? :0)

Someone really loves daddy!

She can stay out there for hours!

Always too far than I would like!

Girls want to have fun!
What a great day. It is always summer here. I never can have enough of the beach days, barbecues with the best meat and grilled corn with tons of watermelon! :0)
