Dining with the governor!!

Thanks to two of my girlfriends (thanks Kaelene and Becky) me and David had a great weekend have not one but TWO nights for us! Friday night my friend Kaelene invited the girls for a slumber party at her place, the girls love her daughter Kiara and her son Maka. They loved spending the night there...

We had a great date Friday night, we went to a restaurant called "The Shack" in Hawaii Kai to try their famous burgers and fries!!

We sat at the lanai (outside deck) and it was so nice to sit in peace, listening to the ocean and talk with David...we really needed time just for us. I tried their "island burger" and it was so good! Have you ever had a hamburger with grilled pineapple and teriaki sauce? Yummy!
After dinner we got a 10pm cinema session, we saw the movie "Traitor", it was a PG13 but a lot of violence for sure...
Saturday, Becky watched all three of our kids because me and David had this fancy fundraiser dinner at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, David's boss is always inviting us for these parties (sounds like he has parties every weekend to go to) but just now I felt like leaving Isaac with a babysitter...next Friday we have the kids at our house, the girls will have so much fun! We trade babysitting with some friends, we watch all of the kids for a Friday and then we have three Fridays off while they watch our kids! :0)

Here is me at the Hilton, I confess that I get a little nervous going to these fancy dinners, I always think in my head what a girl like me is doing there? Anyway, it proved me wrong again...All of the people that I met were the nicest people ever, they made me feel welcomed and I had the best time! I met a lot of lawyers and judges (looked like every lawyer/judge of the city was there) that David works with and I also was glad that a lot them had wives of my age too. They were great and it was so fun to see them all relaxed and dancing through the night with us( David told me it was funny to see them happy and dancing because at work they always have their shark attitude on!:0)

Me and David at the Hilton , aren't we cute together? :0)

We got to meet the governor of Hawaii (Linda Lingle), she was very nice and friendly!

Here is Richard Turbin (Dave's boss) and his wife...They were so nice to me and I enjoyed meeting them...

The table was very pretty and the food was really good too...

IT WAS FOR SURE A GREAT WEEKEND!
